Role Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and innovative Embedded Engineer Intern to join our hardware development team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on edge devices and embedded systems, contributing to the development of Smartan Fit’s next-generation fitness technology products.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of embedded systems for fitness devices.
  • Work with edge devices like NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or similar platforms to implement AI/ML models.
  • Develop and optimize firmware for microcontrollers and edge devices.
  • Debug hardware and software issues and perform performance tuning.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software solutions.
  • Conduct research to identify innovative approaches to solve embedded systems challenges.
  • Document development processes, including code, configurations, and test results.

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
  • Familiarity with edge computing platforms like NVIDIA Jetson, Raspberry Pi, or Arduino.
  • Understanding of embedded systems concepts, including RTOS, GPIO, I2C, and SPI protocols.
  • Experience with hardware debugging tools like logic analyzers and oscilloscopes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of AI/ML model deployment on edge devices.
  • Familiarity with TensorFlow Lite, ONNX, or similar frameworks for edge AI.
  • Experience with low-power IoT devices and wireless communication protocols (e.g., Bluetooth, Wi-Fi).
  • Understanding of fitness equipment mechanics or a strong interest in fitness technology.
